History and Benefits

Result of a European research program, MaTeLo (Markov Test Logic) has been industrialized, developed and maintained by All4tec since 2003.

Today, MaTeLo takes the advantage on other solutions, and makes possible Test Engineering at the Top-level. Test engineers won’t worry about the implementation details, the nominal or unintuitive use cases, scheduling, or about the creation of coverage metrics, but just focus on the added value aided with a test modeller.

MaTeLo in Details

MaTeLo Usage Model Editor allows test engineers to design a functional testing model of the SUT. The model is built by a set of States and Transitions. The transitions are indentified to the test step. A Test step is a Stimulation and an Expected Result. Each part of the model can be linked to the requirements but also be weighted to their usages.

MaTeLo Testor automatically generates the needed number of test scenarios (nominal, intuitive, unintuitive) conformed to the usage of the system.

These test sequences, executed with any test platform, triggers bug by importance order due to the most probable usage of the system.

MaTeLo Test Campaign Analysis makes available reports with quality and reliability indicators. With its SUT version management, TCA shows quality increases of your system during all its test life cycle.

Integration of MaTeLo in the Development Process

MaTeLo is independent of today development technologies and it can be integrated ideally with the most frequently applied methodologies and processes. 2 developments cycles: From the functional design project period, the validation team builds in parallel to the design team, a functional model of the designed sub-set of the system. It allows an incremental cross-works between development teams and consolidates the specification.

The test campaigns could be executed more quickly and more effectively to the System under Test, Simulated or Real. So MaTeLo can be applied to all xIL State of the Art validation processes.

  1. Validation of the Design : Model in the Loop : MIL
  2. Validation of the Software : Software In the Loop : SIL
  3. Validation of the ECU : Hardware In the Loop : HIL
  4. Validation of the System : Hardwares In the Loop : HsIL
