Originally All4tec was used to developing high quality embedded software thanks to its experience and its renowned high development maturity level (First IT Services & Software Engineering Company certified CMM4 in Europe). To take up such a big challenge, our engineering team required at the time an efficient and powerful test solution to ensure product quality and the creation of efficient test plans for validation. In addition, our team decided to control the system under test quality by measuring its reliability to ensure and improve the delivery quality at every new development life cycle. This is how MaTeLo has been developed. MaTeLo means Markov Test Logic. Today, MaTeLo is used by a large number of companies (see references) that decided to efficiently handle the whole validation process. MaTeLo concept
MaTeLo is a test software following the Model Driven Engineering approach; therefore MaTeLo is a Model Based Testing solution. MaTeLo basically uses Markov Chains to describe the test model of the SUT (System Under Test) implemented for “ Black Box Testing” in all xIL steps ( MIL, SIL, PIL, HIL). MaTeLo approach brings significant benefits for: MaTeLo Usage Model Editor allows for implementing test models that describe the use cases of the SUT completed with the tester point of view. MaTeLo Testor can generate automatically the test cases required to ensure a good product quality. All test cases can be translated to be compliant with numerous test execution platforms. In parallel with the numerous validation steps, MaTeLo Test Campaign Analysis provides information such as test coverage (requirements, model) or reliability of the SUT.
