Test Data Management and dynamic stimulation and verification
The Test Data Management module is natively integrated into MaTeLo. MaTeLo data and their calculations can be shared via ALM resources. The Test Data Management consists of the following elements: Centralized test data dictionary composed of inputs for the stimulations and outputs for the checks. To allow easy handling of data behavior, this data can be used as a string, numeric, boolean, data structure, time, or data list. Equivalence classes, that is, the set of ranges of values, or elements of a list for which the system remains in an invariant behavior. This method allows to reduce the number of tests by selecting only one valuation from the elements associated with an equivalence class, while maintaining the best coverage. Valuation of inputs for stimulation, selection of equivalence classes, and valuation of expected results on model transitions, by reusing the data already shared in the ALM repository - Generation of random values in the choice of possible or Gaussian equivalence classes, or randomness in the range of numerical equivalence classes. - An automatic valuation by Treatment Function of the stimulations or expected result among fifty functions ready to use. - A possibility to create its own processing functions in Java or Python - - Valorisation using Excel spreadsheets or Excel formulas linking inputs and outputs directly in the model, O Use third-party software for complex computations such as Matlab simulink. - Dynamic management of data sets through the use of lists on which MaTeLo can carry out many dynamic operations: Creation of new data, filtering, sorting, grouping, navigation, editing, creating excel formulas on the fly, Sum, average, etc ... - These dataset lists can be initiated dynamically from Excel files or text files containing data sets. MaTeLo uses its equivalence classes in order to filter the lists of data sets in order to automatically extract the valuation data from the tests according to the context - Connection to any data source of the information system thanks to the MaTeLo connection with the Talend Open Source ETL, which allows MaTeLo to set the context according to MaTeLo-chosen equivalence classes and to dynamically retrieve Uploading datasets by simply aggregating your data sources from your Information System with more than 900 connectors and components. The interface of Talend is intuitive and similar to that of MaTeLo and allows to connect and to aggregate any source data sources: SAP, peoplesoft, Oracle, Mysql, Webservice, AS / 400, FTP, Web, BigData, XML ... Once the connector to your SI "Job" is realized, it is executed and managed directly by MaTeLo without additional use of Talend. All generations of test data, as well as any expected results computed automatically becomes possible with MaTeLo whatever the complexity.
